Living archive
Welcome to the Living Archive of International Programming
IThis platform brings together knowledge and experience from transnational research and innovation programmes in the agri-food and biotechnology sectors. It is designed as a practical resource to support program managers, funders and stakeholders in developing, implementing and improving international collaboration.
The Living Archive combines guidance, tools, real-world examples and reference materials across four key areas: Funding Modalities, Research Prioritisation, Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Assessment (MEIA), and Widening & Outreach.
Unlike a traditional repository, the Living Archive is designed to be action-oriented and continuously evolving, supporting users not only in accessing best practices, but in applying them in national and transnational contexts – particularly in support of widening participation across Europe.
How to Use the Living Archive
The Living Archive is designed to help users quickly find practical guidance, tools and resources that support every stage of transnational research and innovation programming.
You can explore the Archive by browsing the four thematic areas or by focusing on your specific objective, whether you are designing a joint call, identifying research priorities, widening participation, or monitoring and evaluating impact.
New users may wish to begin with the introductory guidance documents before progressing to the more detailed templates, checklists and practical tools, while experienced users can access these resources directly to support their work. The Archive is intended to be used flexibly, allowing you to combine resources from different sections to meet your particular needs. As a collaborative resource developed through the Green ERA-Hub, it will continue to evolve with new documents, practical examples and updates based on user feedback, ensuring it remains a valuable source of knowledge and good practice for the transnational research and innovation community.

Drawing on experience from ERA-NETs and Green ERA-Hub initiatives, these resources highlight effective approaches and common challenges in cross-border funding, supporting more coordinated and efficient programme delivery.
Widening & Outreach
This section supports wider participation in transnational research and innovation by providing practical guidance and resources for engaging underrepresented countries and stakeholders. It focuses on lowering barriers to participation and helping new or less-experienced actors to connect with, contribute to and benefit from international collaboration. The section combines guidance, tools, examples and reference materials to support activities such as outreach, network building and event organisation, while also highlighting approaches that strengthen inclusion and long-term collaboration. Drawing on experience from ERA-NETs and Green ERA-Hub initiatives, these resources illustrate effective strategies for fostering engagement and building sustainable partnerships across diverse regions in Europe.
Research Prioritisation
