Call for participation in 2 surveys from LIFE ’Transforming Agricultural Waste into Solutions for Hydrophonic Farming’
The LIFE project is exploring an innovative approach to convert animal manure into safe, nutrient-rich and water-soluble solutions for hydroponic farming. Using novel bacterial and chemical transformation technologies, combined with Digital Twin technology, the project aims to monitor and optimise both the nutrient production process and crop development.
As part of the project, our partner UniBwM is assessing the economic viability and market potential of the proposed system.
Therefore two surveys have been developed to support this research.:
Survey 1: ‘Delphi Study - the future of Controlled Environment Agriculture’
Here we are looking for stakeholders across the entire Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) value chain to share their views on the future of CEA and the integration of circular economy practices. THis is survey is for as well consumers, researchers, CEA growers, hardware manufacturers, input suppliers, policy makers, consultants and other stakeholders involved in the CEA value chain.

Survey 2: ‘Willingness to adopt manure-derived nutrient solutions’
This survey focuses specifically on hydroponic and CEA growers. It explores their willingness to adopt and pay for nutrient solutions derived from manure, as well as the key benefits and barriers influencing their potential adoption.

The knowledge and experience from different stakeholders, will be valuable in helping us better understand the opportunities and challenges of circular nutrient solutions for the future of sustainable food production.
